Techniques of the Void Empty
PostSubject: Techniques of the Void   Techniques of the Void Icon_minitimeThu Jan 26, 2012 1:45 am

Technique Name: Shadow Kamehameha
Level: 2
PL/X Rating: PL/19 (PL/11)
Type: Energy
Effective Range: Long
Duration: 0-2 Posts
Description: This takes a twist on the widely popular Kamehameha wave. While the user must still make the unique stance in order to proper begin this technique, and must still fire it the same way, what comes out is completely different. Rather than being a blue burst of energy, this technique is colored black, as the user must meld a portion of his own dark properties into the wave. This will do damage equal to a powered-up Kamehameha, but in addition, any energy that comes in contact with the wave will instantly be absorbed. This is due to the dark properties combined with the energy, which serve the same function as the Dark-Jin's ki absorption ability. This wave can be guided if the user so chooses, just as with a bending Kamehameha, and it has the same speed as the traditional Kamehameha, but must remain in contact with the user if the absorbed technique is to be learned. Now this does mean that the absorption will last until at least a level one technique is fired at it, in which case the absorption will cease, while the blackened beam will continue forward. If the user so chooses, he may use this technique as if it were a shadow. Requires prior knowledge of the Kamehameha. May only be used by those possessing the Dark-Jin ki absorption ability. Counts as a single use of the ki absorption ability. Once the user expends all uses of their absorption ability, the technique is increased to its full power of PL/11, with no absorption abilities.

Technique Name: Final Eclipse
Level: 3
PL/X Rating: PL/13 (PL/6)
Type: Energy
Effective Range: Long
Duration: 0-1 Post
Description: Just as with the Shadow Kamehameha, Final Eclipse is an alternate version of another technique. In this case, it is the Final Flash. The user will hold out both hand, just as with charging the Final Flash, but will instead be covered by a black energy rather than golden. The user will then close both hands at the wrist, with both palms open and facing the target, and fire all the stored energy directly at the desired target. This black wave, which looks almost exactly like the Kamehameha, only with the differences provided by the Final Flash, will do significantly more damage than its counterpart, and has an extra effect provided by a melding of dark properties. Unlike the properties of the Shadow Kamehameha, however, these will instead initiate the consumption ability upon contact, instantly transferring all applicable techniques, abilities, and stats. This will last for one post after launching, during which time it will remain touching the user's wrists. The consumption process is instant, and will immediately end the technique, after damage is applied, of course. This technique is not able to be bent or redirected by anything, even the user, but will travel nearly twice as fast as the traditional Kamehameha. When the user has hit his maximum use of consumptions, this technique will from then on only absorb a single technique or one ability, and will increase in power to PL/6.Requires prior knowledge of the Final Flash. Must be able to use the Dark-Jin's Consumption ability.Counts as a single use of the Consumption ability.

Technique Name: Twilight
Level: 4
PL/X Rating: PL/3
Type: Energy
Effective Range: Long
Duration: N/A
Description: This technique takes on the properties of the spirit bob in the sense of absorbing energy from the environment. However, this one does not absorb energy, but darkness. It takes every bit of dark and shadows from the planet it is used on, and condenses it into a large sphere at the user's palms, just like the spirit bomb. This leaves a twilight look to the entire planet, which gives the technique its name. The average time it takes to charge this is three posts during the day, two posts during the night, and one post if the Complete Darkness ability was just activated. While it may seem possible to simply continue gathering shadows and darkness to up the strength of this technique, a shadow can only hurt so much, so continued charging will do no good whatsoever. This orb uses a slight amount of the user's ki, but only to hold the shadow in tact. This means that while this attack will indeed simply fade through any and all ki based anything, a compressed blast of equal power can indeed rupture the integrity of the ki used to hold it together, thus causing an explosion that will instantly enact the Light Block technique on every living creature in the area, sending anything caught to a random planet within. No damage will apply when the orb explodes, only if it manages to hit something when in tact. The Light Block that ensues a rupture will not have any effect on the user's uses of the ability, and so he may use it again so long as he was able to do so normally. This requires prior knowledge of a spirit bomb technique, any will do. The user must also be able to use the Light Block ability possessed by the Dark-Jins, in order to get a grasp of how to manipulate the shadows.

Technique Name: Final Shadow Wave
Level: 4
PL/X Rating: PL/2
Type: Enerdy
Effective Range: Long
Duration: 0-1 Post
Description: This is a combination of the Final Eclipse and Shadow Kamehameha techniques, which means it takes on the natural abilities of both techniques, in several ways. First, this technique travels just as fast as the Final Eclipse, while at the same time being just as maneuverable as the Shadow Kamehameha. Second, any level 2 or below techniques will be instantly absorbed and learned by the user, but the absorbing component will not cease until met with a level 3 or higher technique, which will also be absorbed, but will cause the absorbing to stop. In addition, this technique will explode upon impact when it hits something containing ki. The ensuing explosion will catch anyone within thirty meters, and will activate the consumption ability on everything hit. The number of targets will determine the number of consumption uses, while the number of ki absorption uses is set aat two. Just like with the Final Eclipse, the consumption aspect will be reduced to one technique or one ability from each of the targets after the second use. The activating of this technique takes on the exact same process as with the Final Kamehameha, where the user will hold both hands out, charging the black energy around himself, with a large orb of dark energy in each hand. Then, the user will combine both hands and take on the stance of the Kamehameha, to finish the charging. Afterwards, the user holds both hands out, wrists together and palms facing outward, to fire the immense wave of energy. The user may only maintain contact with this technique for up to one post before being forced to let it go, meaning a loss of control. Requires prior knowledge of the Shadow Kamehameha, Final Eclipse, and Final Kamehameha techniques. The user must be able to use the Consumption and Ki Absorption abilities possessed by the Dark-Jins. Counts as a maxed out use of all Dark-Jin abilities (Excluding stat boosts and the like.). This technique may only be used once per fight.
